About Me
Someone asked the other day, “What got you started in photography?” Well, I’ve been taking photos of all my favorite people, travels, and adventures for years… but I didn’t invest in a professional camera until 2017. Since then, my desire for the craft has gained an unstoppable inertia. There’s a lot of things I’ve tried, and ending up losing interest in, but I don’t think that taking and editing photographs will ever land in that category. There is never an end to the learning, and never an end to the nuances of places, lighting, colors, and body language waiting to be captured.
We’ve all heard the expression, “Don’t live through the lens!”…and if working with the camera distracts from certain moments there’s some truth to this quote. But for me, taking a photo is what pulls me MORE into a moment, gives me a closer look, an intentional way of seeing- it helps me see better the magic that's always around us.
On this site I’ve included my portrait work, behind-the-scenes work, and more recently, a print shop of my nature and landscape photography. You can find more of my photo work on instagram @emilyelizabethgreen . Cheers!
